WELCOME
Join me in living a well-balanced life so we can be well fed and feel well loved, my friends.
My Journey To Becoming A Chef
Hi friends. I’m so grateful you’re here.
I’m a Thai-born chef, author, teacher, media personality, and wellness advocate who believes that food, culture, and small daily rituals can help us live more joyful and balanced lives. My journey to the kitchen wasn’t a straight line. I grew up in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and began my career in corporate social responsibility before realizing that my dream job existed elsewhere. I realized that it was in cooking, creating, and bringing people together through food.
I followed that calling to New York City, where I trained with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, an experience that opened the door to a life filled with flavor, creativity, and discovery. From there, I went on to open my own restaurants, cook, and teach around the world from New York, Paris, Dubai, Tokyo, the Maldives, Bangkok, St. Barth and more.

Embracing Wellness and Longevity
Along the way, I became a passionate student at Harvard Medical School and became certified as a wellness advocate by starting a program called “Health and Wellness: Designing a Sustainable Nutrition Plan”. Currently, I’m starting my second program regarding “Building a Life of Wellness: The Science of Fostering Happiness and Health Span”.
My experiences in kitchens and businesses across the world have shaped me and inspired me to not only become a better chef, but (I hope) a better human. Life has taught me resilience, gratitude, connection, and the quiet beauty of nourishment in all its forms, through ups and downs, losses and gains.
Somewhere on this journey, I found my true calling. I know now my true joy is to create a recipe not just for the body, but for the soul. I want to share the ingredients for a joyful, meaningful and well-balanced life. And that is how Thaimee Love was born.
My Multicultural Family
These days, I split my time between NYC, the UK, and Thailand. I share this beautifully blended life with my London–Irish husband, Conor, and my lovely stepdaughter, Katya, who is half French and is thriving in her university life in London.
Together, we create a home filled with many cultures, many flavors, and many stories.
Our family inspires everything I create for Thaimee Love. The meals and recipes I share on this website are what I cook at home and are well tested and tasted by them. They are the fitness and the support, and thus, part of my journey to living a meaningful and well-balanced life. They are in every part of it.
Thank you again for being here. My hope is that you feel at home in this space. I hope Thaimee Love inspires you and becomes a resourceful tool to help you feel well fed and be well loved.
Let’s live a well-balanced life together.
Love, Hong.
